Digital painting
That is, reproducing the appearance of real-world analogue paint and paper on the computer. It's more or less a facsimile of the work I used to produce with gouache and sable watercolour brushes, only with the added benefit of greater control and the option to retrace my steps. Despite these admirable and useful qualities however, you can't tear it off the wall and burst it over somebody's head like you can a framed canvas. A great loss, in my professional opinion.
