TRAINING
Lee originally trained as a technical illustrator at Portsmouth College of Art, but discovered a more colourful approach at Cornwall Technical College. His most effective practical education came in his first few years working in an illustration studio in the West Country, alongside many other talented and competitive artists.
APPROACH
After working traditionally in watercolour for many years, Lee now uses Affinity Designer, Affinity Photo, Vectorstyler, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects and Blender to create his images and animation.
STYLES
Lee’s work is precise and realistic, but always bright and individual. He works in three main styles – his digital paintings are reminiscent of gouache or oils, while his vector images and 3D work are more technical in appearance, even when depicting the natural world.
